About the role

As a Strategy Manager in reMarkable you will be a key resource in the Retail team, and you will play a central role in building Retail as a new sales channel for reMarkable. During the past 18 months reMarkable has conducted several pilots within retail partnerships and own stores, the latter in cooperation with Snøhetta. After this intense learning period reMarkable is aiming to scale our retail presence globally, and are very excited for the next part of our journey.

The purpose of this role is to support establishing a successful, global retail presence with tasks spanning from strategy development and execution, to driving our commercial agenda, running key projects and initiatives both within retail and in collaboration with other business units in reMarkable. The work will be growth oriented and span from assessing attractiveness of new markets, partnerships, initiatives and operationalizing commercial ideas. You will be part of a dedicated and committed team and will need to collaborate closely with the rest of reMarkable to succeed in this role.

As Strategy Manager in reMarkable you can expect to be a central part of where decisions are taken and where action happens. You will benefit from being part of the Strategy organization and at the same time dedicate most effort to Retail related work.

Further tasks and responsibilities

  • Identify, lead and support strategic end-to-end initiatives and projects centered around our Retail initiative, typically cross functional in nature

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure we deliver on defined goals

  • Develop business cases for new initiatives and measures, as well as analyses to guide decision making

  • Bring a commercial and strategic mindset into discussions and our work

  • Gather external and internal insight and assess strategic and commercial opportunities

  • Manage and coordinate the teams responsible for delivering on defined project scope

  • Support the Retail team in day-to-day operations (KPI and data analysis, sparring with other teams)

Qualifications

  • Relevant master’s degree (economics, finance, strategy, engineering, industrial economics)

  • 4-6 years experience from management/strategy consulting and/or business development

  • Experience with project and process management

  • Fluent in written and spoken English

It is also an advantage if you have:

  • Solid strategic and commercial capabilities and mindset

  • Strong analytical skills and comfortable working with numbers

  • Great communication skills

  • Comfortable with solving complex problems

  • Ability and willingness to handle operational tasks as well as strategic to help our team succeed together

  • Experience from the retail industry

  • Personal drive and initiative, but also a great team player

We lead and support strategic initiatives across reMarkable. The teams that are set up are always interdisciplinary, and our task is to take care of the strategic aspects of the initiatives. We place special emphasis on the ability to identify what is important for the success of the initiative, and how it plays out with the rest of reMarkable. The strategic initiatives often have a commercial side.
